Today, Tuesday, May 10, 2022, the Ambassador of our country to Turkey, Major General Muhammad Tariq, visited the Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association at its headquarters in Istanbul.

He was received by the President of the Association, Dr. Ahmed Al-Aqabi, and members of the Board of Directors. During the visit, he met with the employees of the Association.

At the outset of the visit, the President of the Society welcomed the Ambassador and his accompanying delegation, praising the efforts exerted by the Ambassador since his appointment as Ambassador and Plenipotentiary Extraordinary to Turkey in the service of the Yemenis in Turkey.

Al-Oqabi reviewed a number of the association’s works, projects and achievements during the past period and its effective role in community service, thanking and appreciating the ambassador’s visit, which indicates the strength and interdependence of government institutions represented by the Yemeni embassy with Yemeni community organizations in Turkey.

Al-Oqabi stressed that the association seeks to develop and strengthen ways of cooperation and partnership with the Yemeni embassy in Turkey in many sectors.

At the end of the visit, the ambassador of our country, Major General Tariq, praised what he saw of the work and achievements of the association, pointing to the importance of the role that the association provides in serving the Yemeni community.

His Excellency the ambassador affirmed the embassy’s cooperation in providing all facilities and services to the association in order to achieve the public interest to serve the Yemenis in Turkey.

The visit was attended by the head of the Yemeni community in Turkey, Mr. Nabil Al-Ghazi, the military attaché at the embassy, Al-Fandam, Askar Zael, and the head of the Yemeni Student Union in Turkey, Mr. Muhammad Amer.
