Dr. Ahmed Al-Aqabi, Director of the Society, accompanied by Dr. Abdul-Majid Al-Mikhlafi, the former Minister of Education in Yemen, the Advisor of the Society, and Mr. Hamza Al-Dais, President of the Yemeni Student Union – Sakarya, and Mr. Tariq Tuaiman, the visit coordinator, visited Sakarya University yesterday evening. During the visit, they met with the University President, Professor Fatih Savashan, assistant to the university’s president and the university’s foreign student officer.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Mikhlafi expressed his thanks to the association for the efforts made by the university to Yemeni students and the granting of 30 academic seats to the association last year. He added that Sakarya University is the university that initiates scholarships for Yemeni students in Turkey in general.
For his part, the president of the university welcomed the delegation of the association and the Yemeni students in Sakarya, and in the meeting, ways of cooperation between the university and the association were discussed while serving the Yemeni students in the educational aspect.
During the visit, Dr. Ahmed Al-Aqbi, Director of the Society, reviewed the most important educational activities and programs offered by the Society to Yemeni students inside Turkey.
It is worth noting that the association has been granted new study seats during this year, which will be announced in the coming days after signing a protocol between the association and the university in this regard.
At the end of the meeting, the shield of friendship and cooperation was presented to the president of the university.
