The Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association concludes the “We are the Yemenis” forum
In the Turkish city of Yalova, which was held from 5-8 September 2019. With the participation of 220 participants from various Yemeni governorates.
The Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association concluded the “We are the Yemenis” forum with a closing ceremony attended by the advisor to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Dr. Yassin Aktay, a number of members of the Shura Council and Parliament, former ministers and agents in the Yemeni government, a number of businessmen, dignitaries and social figures, heads of Yemeni institutions, academics and students in Turkey.
In a speech: The President of the Forum, Dr. Ahmed Al-Aqabi welcomed the guests at the beginning and thanked them for attending, stressing that the Yemenis through this forum and under the slogan “We are the Yemenis” are the title of the civilization of ambassadors of values who embodied the most beautiful meanings of love, cohesion and brotherhood after years, circumstances forced them to leave the homeland and migrate towards Turkey and other countries, pointing out that no matter how far the Yemenis are from Their country will remain loyal to him. With their cooperation, brotherhood, and unity, personal differences and narrow affiliations will dissolve.
Al-Aqbi indicated that the Yemeni is a good person who contributes to building any country in which he resides and considers it his home, and we will be likewise in Turkey.
Al-Aqbi saluted Turkey’s president, government and people, noting that they embodied “the meaning of victory and hospitality,” and bore the burdens of supporting the oppressed and hosting immigrants.
On the other hand, the head of the Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association, Dr. Abdul Raqeeb Abbad greeted the attendees and expressed his great optimism after the forum achieved its lofty goals that brought us together under the umbrella of the Yemeni national project. More than 220 participants from the elite of people of faith and wisdom, parliamentarians, members of the Shura Council, businessmen, dignitaries, heads of associations, student institutions and academics, we spent a nice time getting to know each other. We were united, we supported each other, we returned with our beautiful memories to Sanaa, we mentioned Hadramout, and we plunged into the depths of Socotra. Every inch of Yemen was present in us, we live in it, and it lives in us throughout the forum period.
And he noted: “The Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association will, God willing, be a home for all Yemenis.”
He added, “Our Turkish brothers describe the Yemeni community as the most organized, and we will be more because we are an authentic mineral, and Yemen will return as it was smiling.”
For his part, Dr. Ya Sin Aktay expressed his great pleasure in participating in the closing ceremony of the We are the Yemenis forum, where he said… I always rejoice when I live and coexist with you my Yemeni brothers. Most of you came as immigrants to Turkey and we hope to be your supporters.
Aktay added, “The word of the Ansar is easy, but we hope that God will give us a little bit of this great task, and what Yemen is going through in terms of injustice, difficulties, and foreign interference from the neighbor and the far, does not deserve it.”
Because Yemen is dear to us and does not deserve to live through all these conditions and interventions. Yemen is present in Turkey’s historical memory and the role of Owais Al-Qarni is the best witness.
And the Lord of the worlds chose for you to migrate to Turkey in order for us to benefit from you and you will benefit, and it is an opportunity to build a new common civilization that faces the current challenges.
And he stressed that “the current situation of Muslims is not ready to solve their problems, and to solve the problems of the world, and they are far from that, so immigration came to meet us in other countries to build a new civilization together, so the blessing lies in integration and mixing.”
Aktay concluded by saying, “The Yemeni community is the most organized, and optimism is one of the most important values of politics. Focusing on opportunities helps us more, and then the community becomes a bridge between Turks and Yemenis.”
For his part, the Yemeni Deputy Minister of Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Adel, Turkey’s government and people for hosting their Yemeni brothers, and for their role in caring for, caring for, and celebrating them. Al-Adil said that the forum witnessed a discussion of distinguished programs, amid interaction of the community with these programmes, expecting the expansion of participation in the next forum to include a distinguished presence of Yemeni women.
While Salah Batis, a member of the Yemeni Shura Council, explained in the speech of the participants that this forum revived in us the memories of the meetings and camps that we used to organize in our beloved Yemen.
He added: What distinguished this forum is that the participants come from all parts of Yemen, from all age groups, from all Yemeni governorates, and from all disciplines, interests, and fields of creativity, and this gives hope.
In such forums and such meetings, we can discuss in a miniature what is going on in our homeland in an enlarged way. The owner of Hadramout is with the owner of Sanaa, with the owner of Tihama, with the owner of Aden, with the owner of Shabwa, with the owner of Taiz, everyone meets in one forum, and we forget about regionalism, lineage, sectarianism, regionalism, and even partisanship, and we say in a voice We are all one.
He added: We thank the Friendship Association, represented by Dr. Abdul-Raqeeb Abbad and Dr. Ahmed Al-Aqabi, and the team working with them. The truth is that they have created and benefited. They have all our thanks and appreciation.
It is worth mentioning that the forum lasted 4 days, during which many programs, seminars, workshops, acquaintances, and sports, cultural, artistic, and entertainment activities took place.
