His Excellency Ambassador Ghassan Al-Zawawi, Ambassador of the brotherly State of Kuwait to Turkey, visited the Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association on Friday morning at the association’s headquarters in Istanbul.

He was received by the President of the Society, Dr. Abdul Raqeeb Abbad and Director of the Association d. Ahmed Al-Aqbi, and a number of Yemeni authorities and personalities.

In the meeting, His Excellency the Ambassador learned about the activities and programs of the association that serve the Yemenis inside Yemen and in the countries of the Diaspora.

For his part, His Excellency Ambassador Ghassan Al-Zawawi thanked the efforts made by the association for the Yemenis, whether at home or in the diaspora, referring to Yemen’s historical and civilizational status that distinguishes it from the rest of the peoples of the world. He added that the State of Kuwait, emir and people, will always stand in support of the Yemeni people until this difficult stage that Yemen is going through is overcome.

In a speech to the president of the association, Dr. Abdul Raqeeb Abbad welcomed the ambassador and thanked him for this kind visit to the association and to see the most important programs and activities carried out by the association.
In the meeting, the president of the association honored the ambassador and presented him with the shield of the association in honor of his continuous efforts with the association.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Najeeb Ghanem, member of the Yemeni Parliament and former Minister of Health. And a number of heads and representatives of Yemeni institutions in Turkey, and a number of dignitaries and social figures.
