Distribution of 40 Financial Grants to Yemeni Students in Istanbul

More than 40 Yemeni male and female students in the Turkish universities in Istanbul benefited from these grants.
In cooperation with the Yemeni Students Union in Istanbul, the Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association in Turkey implemented the Financial Grant Project for more than 40 male and female students in Istanbul universities in December 2018 at the Association’s headquarters in Istanbul.
The project is financed by the Taiwanese Tzu Chi Charity and it aims to reduce the suffering of some students who do not have any scholarship or support from any funding body.
The head of Tzu Chi Charity expressed his happiness for cooperating with the Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association in this project. He added that Tzu Chi Charity will contribute more to other projects in support of the Yemeni people inside and outside the country.
Dr. Abdul-Raqeeb Abbad, Head of the Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association, thanked the Taiwanese Tzu Chi Charity for funding this project. He added that the Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association is always interested in supporting students by reducing their suffering through such projects, in addition to other projects that contribute to developing their various skills and capabilities.
In his speech, Zakaria Shaalan, Head of the Yemeni Students Union in Istanbul, thanked the supporters from the Tzu Chi Institution and the Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association for their interest in students. He added that the Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association is one of the most important partners of the Yemeni Students Union that contributes to the success of many activities and events.
