The Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association – Turkey Visits Sabahattin Zaim University in Istanbul

Yesterday, Tuesday morning, Dr. Abdul-Raqeeb Abbad, Head of the Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association, accompanied by Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Mikhlafi, Advisor of the Association and the former Minister of Education in Yemen, and Ahmed Al-Aqabi, Director of the Association, visited Sabahattin Zaim University. During this visit, they met with Prof. Mohammed Bulault, Rector of the University.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Abdul-Raqeeb Abbad expressed his happiness with the partnership between the Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association and the Sabahattin Zaim University. He praised the University’s cooperation with the Yemeni students according to the Cooperation Agreement concluded between the Association and the University last year. He also wished more educational partnership for the benefit of the Yemeni students in Turkey.
The Rector of the University welcomed the delegation of the Association, expressing his readiness to cooperate for meeting the Yemeni students’ needs. During this meeting, they discussed some problems that the Yemeni students faced at the University, especially the tuition fees in the Department of Economics.
At the end of the meeting, the University was granted the Shield of Friendship and Cooperation by the Head of the Association
The meeting was attended by Dr. Nabil Al-Ghazi, Vice-President of the Yemeni Community in Turkey, and Mr. Zakaria Shaalan, Head of the Yemeni Students Union in Istanbul.
It is worth noting that the file of the Economics Department students enrolled in 2018 was referred to Foreign Students Department in the University for finding the appropriate solutions to their problem.
