Turkish Government Scholarships Authority (Türkiye Bursları YTB) Opens Registration for Obtaining a Scholarship Via Its Official Website

The Yemeni Friendship and Cooperation Association–Turkey informed its students that the Turkish Government Scholarships Authority (Türkiye Bursları YTB) opened registration on its official website for foreign students to obtain Turkish scholarships in the period from January 10, 2020 to February 20, 2020 for all academic degrees, including Bachelor, Master and Doctorate.

Students can now fill in the application form to apply for the scholarship in person via the following link:

Required Conditions of Scholarships:

As for Bachelor’s Degree:

1- A student must not be enrolled in one of the Turkish universities.

2- The secondary school average must not be less than 70% for engineering and literary specialties and 90% for medical specialties.

3- The age must not exceed 21.

• Documents Required to Apply for Bachelor’s Degree:

– High School certificate

– Score report or score statement

– Passport copy

– Photograph

The translation of certificates into any language is not required.

As for Master’s Degree:

The age must not exceed 21.

Bachelor average must not be less than 75%

• Documents Required to Apply for Master’s Degree:

– Bachelor’s degree with a score report.

– High school certificate with a score report.

– Recommendation letters issued by university professors or bosses at work.

– An English letter explaining why you have chosen Turkey.

– Passport copy.

– Personal photo.

The translation of certificates into any language is not required.

• As for PhD’s Degree:

-The age must not exceed 35.

The master’s average must not be less than 75%.

• Documents Required to Apply for PhD’s Degree:

– Master’s degree

– Bachelor’s degree

– High School certificate.

– A brief summary of master’s degree.

Two letters of recommendation issued by master’s professors or bosses at work.

– A copy of passport (in case of lack of passport, the identity card can be used for application).

– Personal photo

* Turkish Scholarship Advantages

The scholarship is fully funded and it covers all costs including university premiums, housing allowance, health insurance, travel and visa costs for applicants from outside Turkey, in addition to a monthly salary.

• Other Advantages:
• The student admitted in the scholarship gets travel tickets paid by the country in which he resides to Turkey and from Turkey to his country after the completion of study.
• A student gets a student residency expenses paid by the state for the study period.
• The state provides a student with free housing for the entire period of study with housing expenses.
• The state provides the student with free health insurance for the study period.
• The scholarship students will have a full year for studying the Turkish language without any fees.
• It is worth noting that students who study in another language (other than Turkish) must attend a full year for studying the Turkish language as well.
• Scholarship students will receive a card giving them the right to travel at a very reduced price as it is supported by the state.
